Welcome to the world of Yoga Nidra, often lovingly called “yogic sleep” or Non Sleep Deep rest (NSDR) where you experience a deep sense of relaxation and inner peace that permeates every aspect of your life.
This ancient relaxation technique offers a blissful retreat for your mind, body, and soul.

Yoga Nidra invites you on a journey of deep rest while remaining fully awake,aware and present in the serene posture of shavasana (corpse pose), as gentle guidance leads you through a soothing sequence of steps.

During the practice you are taken through body scanning, breath awareness to regulate your nervous system at will, and visualisation techniques. As you surrender to the practice, you’ll discover a profound sense of peace enveloping you, melting away tension and worry.

At its heart, Yoga Nidra seeks to create a sanctuary within, where physical, mental, and emotional burdens can be gently released.

During the session you will enter delta brainwaves, which play a vital role in the body’s healing and restoration processes during deep sleep. By facilitating the activation of delta brainwaves, you have the unique opportunity to experience profound rest and rejuvenation while remaining fully conscious. With each breath, you sink deeper into relaxation, opening the door to profound healing and
transformation.

How does it work?

Setting Intentions: Before delving into the practice, participants embark on a soulful voyage by setting a heartfelt intention called ”Sankalpa". This intention, akin to planting a seed in the fertile soil of your consciousness, can be a luminous affirmation or a cherished dream, expressed in the present tense, as if it's already blooming in the garden of your life.

Physical Relaxation: Practitioners lie down in Savasana (corpse pose) and consciously release tension from each part of the body, starting from the toes and working up to the crown of the head. This tender embrace of progressive relaxation helps calm the nervous system, inviting it into a serene sanctuary of stillness.

Breath Awareness: Next, attention is focused on the breath. Participants are encouraged to observe the natural rhythm of their breath without trying to control it. This helps to anchor the mind and deepen relaxation.

Visualisation and Imagery: Yoga Nidra often involves guided visualisation and imagery. The facilitator may lead participants through a series of visualisations, such as imagining a peaceful scene, journeying through different parts of the body, or visualizing the fulfillment of their intention. These visualisations engage the mind and stimulate the subconscious.

Rotation of Consciousness: During this phase, participants are guided to rotate their awareness through different parts of the body, systematically bringing attention to each part while maintaining a state of deep relaxation. This helps to develop heightened awareness and a sense of detachment from physical sensations.

Sankalpa (Intention) Reinforcement: Toward the end of the practice, participants revisit their intention or Sankalpa, repeating it mentally several times with focused concentration. This helps to embed the intention into the subconscious mind.

Coming Out of Yoga Nidra: The practice concludes with a gradual transition back to wakefulness. Participants are guided to become aware of their surroundings, gently wiggle their fingers and toes, and slowly transition back to a seated position.

Maria Dobos

After many years as a HR and Career Consultant within London’s corporate world, Maria has made it her mission in life to guide people in improving their mental, physical, and emotional health. She is using the very same tools that have helped her personally heal from illness through the power of Breath, Yoga and Meditation.

Maria’s personal journey from darkness into light has given her the experience of transformation and discovery to become an inspirational guide for sharing her wealth of knowledge and wisdom with others.

Her knowledge and her teaching style has been influenced by renowned teachers from the West but also from India, where she lived, studied and taught over the years as part of a well-known school.

Female Hormone Therapy and Breathing Re-education is what ignites the light in Maria, as she is using the very same tools that have helped her for many years heal and recover from illness.

Maria currently resides in Ubud, Bali, where she conducts feminine wellbeing retreats and teaches breathing re-education and female hormone therapy, thus spreading spirituality in the divine abode of radiance.
